2) This is significant because it shows how Jesse doesnt care about what Bernard says about being in an Aryan Nation or about any of his other racial judgements, he only cares about proving this case and trying to "fight" to prove the truth. This is meaningful because this case is looked at by jesse as a war. He talks about the as if he was trying to connect both things and say that unlike his country, the u.s, he is going to stand up for him in the court of law.
